Payroll Manager – Lead a High-Performing, Multi-Country Payroll Function

We’re supporting a large, ASX-listed organisation with a diverse workforce across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the UK and Canada. As the business continues to evolve, we’re searching for an experienced Payroll Manager to lead a well-established team and drive ongoing improvement across systems, processes and compliance.

What you’ll lead
You’ll oversee a skilled team comprising:
  • Payroll team of 6-8
  • Managing payroll for up to 5kpermanent and casual  employees.
What the role involves
  • Managing end-to-end payroll across multiple countries, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant processing.
  • Overseeing remediation projects and driving data-driven improvements across processes and systems.
  • Ensuring correct interpretation and application of EBAs, awards and legislative requirements.
  • Leading system updates and integrations, including extensive work within SAP.
  • Supporting the business through significant workforce volume changes and seasonal payroll cycles.
  • Collaborating with HR, IT and Finance to strengthen process alignment, reporting and governance.
  • Coaching and developing your team to maintain high standards and a strong service culture.
Who we’re looking for
  • Strong experience managing payroll in a large, complex, ASX-listed environment.
  • Proven background leading remediation projects, process uplift or compliance reviews.
  • Deep understanding of EBAs, awards, enterprise agreements and payroll legislation.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP payroll(essential).
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with disciplined, detail-driven execution.
  • Confident stakeholder manager with excellent communication and people-leadership skills.
