Location: Sydney CBD | Contract: 6 months | Start: ASAP

About the Role:
This senior legal manager position focuses on providing high-quality, solutions-driven advice in planning and environment law. You will lead complex matters involving compulsory land acquisition, contaminated land, and native title, as well as draft and negotiate legal documents, manage litigation, and contribute to policy development. The role also includes mentoring junior lawyers and working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and strategic outcomes.

Requirements:
- Current NSW Practicing Certificate.
- 5 + years PQE
- Extensive experience in planning and environment law, including relevant legislation.
- Strong skills in legal drafting, advocacy, and dispute resolution.
- The ability to take initiative and work autonomously.
- Ability to manage complex projects, provide strategic advice, and mentor team members.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
