Careers Engagement Consultant ACT

We are partnering with a respected professional membership body across Australia and New Zealand seeking a Careers Engagement Consultant to lead student and early‑career engagement across the ACT. This role plays a key part in inspiring future professionals by building strong relationships with universities, schools, and employers.
 
The Role

This is a hands-on, relationship-focused position responsible for promoting student programs, driving engagement at campus events, and representing the organisation across the ACT. Working independently day-to-day, you’ll support presentations, activations, and campaigns throughout the academic year.
This is a permanent part-time role (30 hours per week) with flexibility and variety, ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy and meaningful stakeholder work.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, academics, student societies, schools, and employers.
  • Represent the organisation at career fairs, presentations, student events, and school visits across the ACT.
  • Promote and grow student membership through engaging conversations and on‑campus activity.
  • Coordinate a team of casual Student Representatives, including rostering, communication, and general oversight.
  • Deliver engagement campaigns and support the delivery of speaker programs and early careers initiatives.
 
Who You Are
  • Experienced in relationship management, campus recruitment, education liaison, or similar engagement roles.
  • Confident presenting to groups and engaging with students, educators, and senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive individual who enjoys working autonomously and managing a varied schedule.
  • Organised, adaptable, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities during busy academic periods.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; CRM experience is beneficial.
  • Holds a full driver’s licence and comfortable travelling to local schools and university campuses.

  • Salary:$91,000 TRP (FTE) - pro‑rated 4 days
  • Part-time: 30 hours per week
