Cost Accountant

• Multinational Manufacturing Company (Multi-Site Operations)
• Location: Penrith, NSW
• Up to $120,000 + super 

You will take ownership of costing for a newly acquired manufacturing business, creating and updating Build of Materials (BOMs), analysing costs, and shaping processes that set the business up for long-term success. From day one, you’ll work hands-on with production teams and visit multiple manufacturing sites in NSW, Victoria, and Queensland, seeing firsthand how your decisions influence efficiency, margins, and profitability. This isn’t just a desk job; this is a role where your expertise drives real operational impact.
 
Day to day your responsibilities will be, but will not be limited to:

• Building and maintaining BOM's that directly influence production efficiency and product profitability
• Analysing standard costs, actual costs, and variances, translating numbers into actionable insights for operational and management decisions
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency
• Working closely with production teams, helping ensure costing processes are practical and accurate
• Preparing and presenting reports to managers and operational stakeholders, guiding strategic decisions
• Contributing to process improvements, making costing systems smarter, faster, and more effective

Ideally you will have:

• Tertiary education in accounting
• Related experience, either as a  Cost Accountant  or  Management Accountant
• Hands-on experience in  manufacturing or operational cost accounting
• Comfortable using accounting software (Pronto or similar) and MS Office
• Strong communication skills, able to explain costing insights clearly to managers, clients, and operational teams
• A desire to make a long-term impact and thrive in a family-oriented, collaborative culture
