Step into a commercially focused Management Accountant
role where you will take ownership of costing for a newly acquired manufacturing business. This is a hands-on position partnering closely with operations, where your insights will directly influence production efficiency, margins and business performance.
You will play a key role in building and refining costing processes, while supporting broader financial planning and analysis across multiple sites.
Day to day your responsibilities will include
- Building and maintaining BOMs that directly influence production efficiency and product profitability
- Analysing standard costs, actual costs and variances, translating numbers into actionable insights for operational and management decisions
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency
- Working closely with production teams to ensure costing processes are practical and accurate
- Preparing and presenting reports to managers and operational stakeholders, guiding strategic decisions
- Contributing to process improvements, making costing systems smarter, faster and more effective
Ideally you will have
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting
- Related experience as a Management Accountant or Cost Accountant
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and operational finance
- Confidence using accounting software such as Pronto or similar, along with Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain costing insights clearly to managers and operational teams
- A desire to make a long-term impact and thrive in a family-oriented, collaborative culture
