About the Role
This is a genuinely multifaceted Financial Accountant role, offering exposure across the full accounting function while partnering closely with the broader business. You will play a key role in core financial operations, statutory and compliance reporting, and delivering commercial insights that support sales performance and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end accounts payable, with a focus on inventory-related AP
- Balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Month-end support and reporting
- Compliance and documentation related to JSOX (or US SOX) reporting requirements
- Business and sales reporting to support commercial decision-making and assist the sales team
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial data
- Ad hoc finance and some assistant/administrative tasks to support the wider team
- Contributing to process improvement in a growing, fast-moving environment
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of accounting experience (experience in a small or medium-sized business preferred)
- Solid understanding of financial reporting principles
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analytics etc)
- Proven experience in an all-rounder accounting role
- Strong skills in reconciliations and accounts payable, particularly for inventory
- Exposure to or understanding of JSOX or US SOX compliance (essential)
- Experience preparing business and sales reports
- Comfortable working in a small team and being hands on across all aspects of finance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
- Good communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
