Head of Payroll – SAP Transformation | $190k + Super + Bonus
We’re partnering with a large ASX-listed organisation to appoint a Head of Payroll
to lead a complex, multi-country payroll function during a major SAP transformation program.
Based in the CBD (3 days in office, 2 days WFH), this is a high-impact leadership role overseeing payroll operations across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the UK and Canada supporting approximately 5,000 permanent and casual employees.
With a strong remuneration package of up to $190k + super + performance bonus (KPI and company-based), this role is suited to a senior payroll leader who thrives in transformation, governance and large-scale environments.
The Opportunity
You will lead a team of 6–8 and take ownership of:
End-to-end payroll across multiple countries
Payroll compliance across EBAs, Awards and enterprise agreements
Interpretation and application of payroll legislation
Leading SAP payroll transformation, system optimisation and integrations
Payroll remediation and compliance uplift projects
Governance, reporting accuracy and risk management
Managing high-volume and seasonal workforce cycles
Partnering with HR, Finance and IT to improve process alignment
Coaching and developing a high-performing payroll team
About You
You are a senior Payroll Manager or Head of Payroll with experience in a large, ASX-listed or complex environment. You bring:
Experience leading payroll remediation or system transformation
Deep knowledge of EBAs, Awards and payroll legislation
Strong governance and stakeholder management capability
The ability to balance strategic oversight with operational execution
