HR Advisor

  • 3 - 4 month contract
  • Hybrid working – 3 days office / 2 days from home
  • Supportive, collaborative HR team
 
This is a great opportunity for an immediately available HR Advisor to step into a hands-on, generalist role, supporting a well-established HR function during a period of planned leave coverage and team transition. You’ll be part of a collaborative and approachable team, gaining exposure across day-to-day HR operations while working closely with experienced HR leaders.
 
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative and is happy to roll up their sleeves to support wherever needed.
 
What you’ll be doing:
• Acting as the first point of contact for HR enquiries, providing timely and practical advice to employees and managers.
• Triaging queries and escalating matters to HR Business Partners where appropriate, ensuring consistency and smooth stakeholder management.
• Providing advice on employment contracts, policy interpretation and basic employee relations matters.
• Supporting ER matters through initial stages, with handover to HRBPs for ongoing stakeholder engagement.
• Assisting with a range of generalist HR activities, including documentation, reporting and coordination of HR processes.
• Working across multiple HR systems and platforms to support outcomes, with a flexible and solutions focused mindset.
• Supporting the team during onboarding of a new HR Business Partner and contributing positively through a period of team movement.
 
What we’re looking for:
• Solid Austtalian HR experience in a HR Advisor or HR Generalist role, with exposure to contracts and basic ER matters.
• Strong communication skills and a customer focused approach to HR support.
• Confidence working with multiple systems and processes.
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to assist across a broad range of HR tasks.
• Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate matters appropriately.
• Candidates with broader HR experience may have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities during this period of change.
 
Work arrangement:
• Hybrid model – 3 days in the office and 2 from home (though ideally prefer on-site more often to learn and collaborate with team).
