Junior Solicitor (2+ PAE) - Property/Strata

Sydney C B D, New South Wales   I

Junior Solicitor (2+ PAE) - Property/Strata

The Company
  • A well-established incorporated legal practice, backed by a large national corporate group, is seeking to expand its Sydney team. The practice has operated for over a decade and benefits from strong internal support across technology, finance, IT, and shared services, while maintaining autonomy in legal practice. The firm specialises in strata law, debt recovery, insolvency, and commercial civil litigation, and is known for its pragmatic, high-volume, outcomes-driven approach.
  • The leadership team is highly experienced and hands-on, with a strong mentoring culture and an open-door management style. The firm places a clear emphasis on efficiency, automation, and developing capable solicitors who can manage matters end-to-end with confidence.
The Role
  • This is a permanent, full-time Solicitor position, suitable for a junior to mid-level practitioner, joining a team of approximately 10 to 11 legal professionals. The role reports directly to a Senior Solicitor who leads the national practice group.
  • The successful candidate will manage a broad caseload across strata law, debt recovery, insolvvency, and civil litigation, in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Responsibilities include court appearances, drafting affidavits and witness statements, preparing initiating and response documents, managing matters through a dedicated CRM, and maintaining regular client communication.
  • The role offers significant exposure to litigation work and autonomy over files, with structured guidance and direct mentoring from senior practitioners.
The Candidate
  • The ideal candidate will have approximately 2-3yrs PAE, although flexibility exists for the right profile. An unrestricted practising certificate is required, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
  • Experience in strata law or civil litigation is essential, along with confidence appearing in court. Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-volume practice and demonstrate strong drafting, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Personal attributes matter. The firm is looking for someone with sound judgment, resilience, common sense, and the willingness to take ownership of work and do what is required to progress matters. A private practice background is strongly preferred.
Benefits
  • Salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 plus superannuation
  • Hybrid working model following initial onboarding (50% hybrid role following 8 weeks onboarding)
  • Direct mentoring from senior lawyers with long tenure
  • Clear development pathway from junior through to senior levels
  • Exposure to a broad and practical litigation practice
  • Strong corporate backing with modern systems and automation
  • Stable, permanent role with long-term career prospects
