ABOUT THE FIRM This top-tier commercial law firm has a long-standing reputation for delivering exceptional legal services across complex corporate and commercial matters. With offices in major financial centres worldwide, the firm is recognised for its cutting-edge work and commitment to client excellence. THE ROLE Due to growth, this firm’s Melbourne Trade Mark team is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join them on a full-time basis.
Working hours: 9am – 5:15pm, Monday to Friday, minimum 3–4 days in the office.In this role, you will provide high-level support to a Senior Associate in Trade Marks, working closely with a team of dedicated business services professionals.
Please note: law students are not eligible for this role.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing monthly billing processes, including creation of pre-bills, editing, finalising, and posting
- Assisting the team with filing documents with IP Australia and IPONZ
- Comprehensive calendar management for appointments as they arise
- Organising national and international travel
- Supporting the wider Trade Mark team with ad-hoc administrative tasks
- Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders by phone, email, and in person, using a professional and personable manner
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant
- Previous experience with end-to-end billing
- Experience in calendar management
- Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders
