3- month temporary position - immediate start South East Suburbs Melbourne $67-74ph + super
This role will suit a safety professional who enjoys working with diverse stakeholders, modernising systems, and driving practical improvements in a hands-on environment. You will be the subject matter expert for plant, equipment and related OHS compliance across the organisation.
Key focus areas include:
Developing and implementing plant and equipment safety systems, procedures and initiatives
Providing expert OHS advice
to people leaders on plant, equipment, manual handling, chemicals and other key risk areas
Leading and supporting incident investigations and root cause analysis, and tracking corrective actions
Conducting risk assessments and inspections
to identify hazards and recommend practical controls
Supporting OHS audits, assurance activities and continuous improvement programs
Contributing to the ongoing development of the organisation’s OHS management system
and documentation
Building capability through training, coaching and mentoring
managers and staff on OHS responsibilities
Must Haves:
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety(or related field), or equivalent experience
Currently hold or willing to obtain both an Employee Working with Childrens Check and Police Check
