Payroll & HR Officer - NFP | CBD
Join a purpose-driven organisation making a real impact in the community. We are seeking a proactive and detail-focused Payroll & HR Officer to manage our end-to-end payroll and support core HR functions in a
standโalone role .
Based in the Brisbane CBD, this position is ideal for someone who thrives in a supportive, valuesโdriven environment and enjoys variety in their day.
About the Role Working closely with managers across the organisation, you will be responsible for the smooth and accurate delivery of the weekly payroll of approximately 100 employees, using Employment Hero. You’ll also play a key role in the employee life-cycle, with a strong focus on employment contracts, on-boarding, and general HR administration. You will develop and implement HR policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities
Process and manage the end to end weekly payroll for around 100 staff using Employment Hero
Maintain payroll records, award interpretations, and employee entitlements
Prepare employment contracts, variations, and other HR documentation
Coordinate on-boarding processes and ensure a positive newโstarter experience
Provide general HR support and respond to employee queries
Develop and maintain compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
About You
Demonstrated experience in endโtoโend payroll processing
Familiarity with Employment Hero (or similar HRIS/payroll systems)
Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR administration
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
Warm, approachable communication style with a commitment to confidentiality
