About the Role
This values‑driven University College is expanding their Student Placements team and looking to bring on a Student Placements Coordinator for their location in the Hills District.
Reporting to the Manager of Student Placements, the Student Placements Coordinator plays a critical role in sourcing, coordinating and managing student placements across the University.
This is a fast‑paced, relationship‑focused role combining business development, account management and administration. You’ll be the main point of contact for students and placement partners, ensuring students are placement‑ready and placements run smoothly end‑to‑end.
Key responsibilities include
- Sourcing new placement opportunities through networking, warm outreach and research
- Managing and nurturing existing placement partner relationships
- Allocating and monitoring student placements in line with course timelines
- Supporting students with placement readiness, expectations and compliance documentation
- Liaising with academic staff, unit coordinators and external partners
- Maintaining accurate records across systems including InPlace, Excel and SharePoint
You will ideally bring
- Minimum 3 years’ professional experience (education, early childhood, recruitment, sales or placements)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Confidence handling warm outreach and business development activity
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience using Excel and administrative systems
- A teaching or education background (early childhood preferred) or strong KPI‑based experience
- A tertiary qualification (desirable, not essential with strong experience)
