The Role
The firm is seeking a Senior Associate with 5-7 years’ PAE to join its Corporate Transactions team in Sydney. This role involves advising on large-scale mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and complex commercial contracts. The successful candidate will manage due diligence processes, draft and negotiate transaction documents, and coordinate multi-jurisdictional deals. You will work closely with partners and clients on high-profile matters, providing strategic advice and ensuring seamless execution of transactions. This is an opportunity to be part of a globally recognised team working on market-leading deals.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • Admission in Australia, England & Wales, or another common law jurisdiction.
  • 5-7 years’ PQE, currently operating at Senior Associate level.
  • Strong experience in corporate M&A, including large transactions and complex deal structures.
  • Excellent drafting skills and ability to advise on numerous commercial contracts.
  • Good understanding of key risks and issues involved in major transactions.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple deals.
  • Commercial awareness and client service focus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and mentor junior lawyers.
