The Role
The firm is seeking a Senior Associate with 5-7 years’ PAE to join its Disputes team in Sydney. This role involves working on a diverse mix of commercial litigation matters, including high-value disputes, insurance-related litigation, and intellectual property litigation. The successful candidate will manage complex matters, provide strategic advice, and work closely with partners and clients on challenging cases. Business development will be a key component of the role, as well as contributing to the firm’s pro bono initiatives with a target of 100 hours annually. The Candidate

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • 5-7 years’ PAE in commercial litigation or related disputes.
  • Experience in insurance litigation or IP litigation is highly regarded.
  • Strong academic record (minimum high credit average).
  • Previous experience in a mid-tier or large law firm preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong business development capability and confidence in client-facing work.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under pressure.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to mentor junior lawyers.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
