Specification & Projects Manager | $100K-$110K + Super + Vehicle | Melbourne
Are you a technically minded sales or construction professional who enjoys working on projects before they reach site?
This is an opportunity to join a well-established, national building products business supplying specialist solutions into commercial and residential construction projects. The role focuses on design engagement, specification support and long-term project influence, rather than transactional sales.
Reporting to a National Specifications leader, you will work closely with architects, builders, consultants and trade partners to help position the company’s product systems as the preferred solution on upcoming developments across Victoria.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with architects, builders, consultants and specialist trades
- Influence product selection and specifications on commercial and residential projects
- Review drawings, plans and technical documentation
- Attend project, design and site meetings as required
- Provide technical guidance aligned with project requirements and compliance needs
- Maintain a structured project pipeline and follow-up process
- Work collaboratively with internal sales, technical and operations teams
About You
- Experience in construction, building materials, manufacturing or technical sales
- Background in specification, project support, BDM or trade-facing roles
- Comfortable reading plans and operating in technical or compliance-driven environments
- Strong relationship builder with a consultative, professional approach
- Able to work autonomously and manage your own priorities
- Melbourne-based, with flexibility to travel locally and occasionally interstate
- Experience in waterproofing or related systems is highly regarded, but candidates with strong adjacent experience and the ability to learn quickly are encouraged to apply
