Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity A large infrastructure-focused organisation is seeking an experienced strategy consultant to support the development of a long-term water strategy. This is a significant piece of work shaping service levels, investment priorities and asset direction over a 30-year horizon.
Kลrero mล te tลซranga | About the Role This engagement will see you partnering with senior leaders to help structure and formalise a comprehensive 30-year strategy.
You’ll provide expert guidance on how to integrate service level expectations, regulatory considerations, financial investment planning and asset lifecycle thinking into a cohesive and defensible long-term framework.
Internal subject matter experts will contribute content — your role is to bring structure, clarity and strategic cohesion across multiple streams of work.
This is a substantial, organisation-wide initiative with impact well beyond a single programme or business case.
Ngฤ kawenga | Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advisory support in developing a 30-year water strategy
  • Guide the integration of service levels, regulatory drivers and investment priorities
  • Support the development of long-term financial and asset investment frameworks
  • Assist in auditing current state and identifying future-focused recommendations
  • Bring structure and cohesion across multiple internal workstreams
  • Translate complex inputs into clear, strategic documentation
  • Provide ongoing consultancy advice across a phased programme of work

  • Highly developed strategic thinking and documentation capability
  • Confident advisory style with the ability to guide rather than lead delivery
