The Role
The firm is seeking multiple Workers Compensation Lawyers to join its busy insurance team, with flexibility on level for the right candidate. Applicants from both defendant and plaintiff backgrounds will be considered, with statutory experience preferred. Experienced paralegals with strong workers compensation exposure may also be suitable.

Key duties include:
• Managing a portfolio of workers compensation matters and providing clear, commercially focused advice
• Reviewing and analysing complex factual and medico legal material
• Preparing advices, correspondence and court documents
• Appearing at conferences, mediations and hearings as appropriate
• Working closely with clients to achieve timely, cost effective outcomes
• Meeting reasonable billable expectations while maintaining quality
• For senior candidates, mentoring junior staff and supporting team development

Core hours are 9 am to 5 pm and the team uses modern legal technology including Affinity.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
• Admission as a Solicitor in NSW with eligibility to hold a practising certificate
• Experience in workers compensation matters in either plaintiff or defendant environments
• Strong technical skills in evidence review, statutory interpretation and written advocacy
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships
• High level organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines
• A proactive, solutions focused mindset and interest in further developing expertise
• Supervisory experience for senior level applicants

Experienced workers compensation paralegals with strong file management skills are also encouraged to apply.
