About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, Health, Safety & Environment, you will be responsible for driving best‑practice injury management outcomes across the Journey Beyond Group. You will lead the return‑to‑work process for work-related injuries, support our people and managers, and champion early intervention and injury prevention initiatives.
 
In this pivotal role, you will:
  • Manage all RTW and workers compensation processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance
  • Provide high‑level case management for complex claims, including strategic advice, insurer coordination, and case conferences
  • Mentor and support the Injury Management Advisor
  • Partner with medical providers, legal representatives, HR, HSE, and business leaders
  • Develop and deliver injury prevention strategies and manager education
  • Analyse data, identify trends, and recommend improvements
  • Prepare executive reporting and support continuous improvement across all business units
You’ll be a trusted advisor to both employees and leaders, helping shape a positive and mature safety culture.
 
About You
You’ll bring a blend of technical expertise, calm influence, and genuine care. You will also have:
  • Experience managing high-volume workers compensation and RTW cases within a large, complex organisation
  • SA Return to Work Coordinator Accreditation
  • Strong understanding of the Return to Work Act and other State-based legislation
  • Background in workplace rehabilitation or injury management
  • Ability to navigate conflict and influence stakeholders effectively
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret trends and adjust strategies
  • Resilience, sound judgement, and the ability to work independently
