An exciting opportunity is available for an Associate to join the Insurance Litigation team of a leading national law firm in Perth.
About the role
The role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of defendant insurance matters, including professional indemnity, public liability and complex insurance disputes. You will work closely with experienced senior lawyers and partners, gaining exposure to high-quality matters and a strong client base of insurers and corporate organisations.

Key responsibilities
- Managing a range of defendant insurance litigation matters, including professional indemnity and public liability claims
- Drafting legal advice, pleadings, affidavits, correspondence and other court documents
- Advising insurer and corporate clients on liability, quantum, coverage and risk
- Reviewing and analysing evidence, expert reports and relevant legislation
- Conducting legal research and developing strategies for dispute resolution
- Liaising with clients, counsel, experts and other relevant stakeholders
- Attending mediations, settlement conferences and court proceedings
- Managing files, meeting deadlines and progressing matters efficiently
- Working closely with partners and senior lawyers on complex litigation matters
About you
- Experience in insurance litigation, ideally within a defendant insurance practice
- Experience in professional indemnity, public liability or general insurance disputes
- Strong legal drafting, research and analytical skills
- Ability to manage files independently and meet competing deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
- Strong attention to detail and sound commercial judgement
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to contribute to a supportive team environment
- An interest in developing your career within insurance litigation
