The Role
  • Associate or Senior Associate role within a Sydney based intellectual property team
  • Working across complex IP litigation and strategic advisory matters
  • Acting on disputes involving patents, trademarks, copyright and brand protection
  • Involvement in high value, high profile litigation and multi-jurisdictional matters
  • Supporting IP asset creation, commercialisation and protection strategies
  • Drafting pleadings, submissions and complex legal documentation
  • Managing multiple matters in a fast paced environment
  • Working closely with leading partners on market leading cases
  • Exposure to cross-border matters through a global network
  • Opportunity to develop client relationships and contribute to business development
The Candidate
  • Admitted lawyer with 4+ years post admission experience
  • Strong intellectual property background gained within a reputable practice
  • Significant experience in IP litigation is essential
  • Patent litigation experience is advantageous but not required
  • Technically strong with excellent drafting and analytical skills
  • Able to manage competing priorities in a high demand environment
  • Strong organisational and time management capability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercially aware with a proactive and driven approach
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous learning
