Coffee Roaster / Production Operator
We are currently recruiting for a Coffee Roaster / Production Operator to join an established food manufacturing business. This is a hands-on, process-driven role suited to someone who is reliable, has a strong work ethic and enjoys working as part of a team. Previous coffee roasting experience is not required, as full training will be provided. More than anything, we are looking for someone with the right attitude who is willing to learn, comfortable completing repetitive production tasks and looking for a stable, long-term opportunity.
The role
Working within an experienced roasting team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Operating coffee roasting and production machinery
  • Following preset recipes and production processes
  • Learning the different stages of the roasting process
  • Entering production data into internal systems and Excel
  • Moving trolleys and handling coffee beans throughout the production area
  • Completing repetitive production tasks accurately and consistently
  • Cleaning equipment and filters
  • Following all safety, quality and production procedures
  • Working closely with supervisors and other members of the production team
About you
We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys hands-on work and operating machinery
  • Can follow processes and instructions accurately
  • Has basic computer skills and is comfortable entering data

  • Is looking for a long-term permanent opportunity
  • Is comfortable with manual handling, including regular movement of approximately 12kg and occasional lifting up to 24kg
Previous experience within food manufacturing, beverage production, machine operation or general production would be highly regarded, however it is not essential.
Hours
The standard shift is 12pm to 8pm. There may also be: Occasional paid overtime, generally around one additional hour|||Rare weekend work, approximately once per month|||Some flexibility required to assist with other shifts when needed|||At least one week’s notice provided for planned shift changes where possible
