An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Rebate & Claims Officer to join a well-established business operating across Australia and New Zealand. This role will suit a detail-oriented finance professional with experience managing customer rebates, claims processing and reconciliations within a high-volume environment.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and key customers, you will take ownership of rebate calculations, claims administration, reporting and month-end activities while ensuring data integrity and accurate financial outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer rebate agreements and ongoing maintenance within SAP or a similar ERP system
- Prepare and reconcile monthly rebate calculations and reporting
- Process rebate credit notes and customer claims in a timely manner
- Investigate and resolve rebate discrepancies, deductions and account queries
- Maintain rebate schedules, agreement documentation and customer master data
- Prepare journals, adjustments and supporting month-end schedules
- Analyse sales data and reconcile net sales figures
- Produce regular rebate and claims reporting for internal stakeholders and customers
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across rebate and claims processes
- Liaise with customers, sales teams and finance departments regarding rebate and claims matters
About You
- Previous experience in a Rebates, Claims, Accounts Receivable or Credit Control position
- Demonstrated experience managing customer rebates and claims from end-to-end
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
- Experience processing credit notes, customer deductions and adjustments
- SAP experience preferred, although other ERP systems will also be considered
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
Desirable
- Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, wholesale, distribution or retail environments
- Exposure to trade spend, promotional funding or co-op agreements
- Understanding of month-end accounting processes, journals and accruals
