Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role
This is a broad and varied facilities management role responsible for the reliable and safe operation of embassy properties, including offices, residential accommodation and associated assets.
You will work across maintenance planning, asset lifecycle management, contractor management, health and safety, budgeting and reporting, while also providing practical support to resolve technical and facilities-related issues.
The role requires someone who is comfortable moving between strategic planning and day-to-day operational delivery in a unique international environment. You'll also be supported with language training to help you build confidence working in a foreign-language setting.
Ngā kawenga | Key Responsibilities
  • Lead maintenance programmes, asset lifecycle planning and replacement initiatives
  • Manage facilities-related contracts, service providers and contractor performance
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate resolution of building, property and facilities issues
  • Monitor budgets, asset records and maintenance forecasting activities
  • Maintain oversight of health, safety and property-related risk management processes
  • Support the delivery of remedial works, maintenance projects and minor capital works
  • Work closely with stakeholders, technical specialists and service providers to deliver effective facilities services
  • Provide support for security systems and related operational infrastructure as required.
