Based in Sydney, you will join a high performing Restructuring, Recoveries & Disputes team and play a key role in managing matters, supporting lawyers and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients. This position offers exposure to large scale legal work, genuine responsibility and the opportunity to develop your skills within a sophisticated legal environment.

Salary is dependent on experience and available up to $120,000 package.

Responsibilities

• Draft notices, demands, pleadings and general correspondence
• Prepare statements of claim, judgments, writs of possession and related court documentation
• Manage the electronic filing of court documents
• Assist with the ongoing management of files while ensuring client service standards are met
• Liaise with clients, debtors and third parties to progress matters, obtain instructions and negotiate proposals
• Conduct regular follow up of security packets, process servers and court documentation
• Prepare discharges of mortgages and coordinate settlements where required
• Prepare files for eviction proceedings
• Identify complex, sensitive or high risk matters and escalate appropriately to lawyers
• Complete administrative and file management tasks to support the efficient running of matters

About You

• Previous Paralegal experience within litigation, recoveries, restructuring or a related practice area
• Demonstrated ability to autonomously manage and progress files
• Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• A collaborative and team focused approach
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Confidence working within a fast paced environment
