About the role
The Principal Advisor will be responsible for providing high-level policy analysis and advice, particularly in relation to Māori providers. This role includes developing complex documents such as RAS’s, briefing papers for Ministers, and public consultation documents.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver complex policy advice to stakeholders.
- Develop and prepare briefing documents and consultation papers.
- Engage with Māori Crown partnerships and conduct te Tiriti analysis.
- Mentor and coach junior analysts to enhance team capability.
- Collaborate with team members on funding and regulatory arrangements.
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in senior policy analysis and development.
- Strong capability in engaging with Māori Crown partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach junior staff.
- Background in social policy is highly advantageous.
