The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lawyer to join the firm’s established Wills, Estates & Succession team. You will work across a varied mix of estate planning, succession and contentious estate matters, including complex wills and testamentary trusts, enduring powers of attorney and guardianship, trust structures, binding death benefit nominations and business succession planning. The role will also provide exposure to estate litigation and dispute resolution, with the opportunity to independently manage matters.
Key responsibilities will include
- Advising clients on complex estate and succession planning strategies
- Drafting wills, including testamentary trust wills
- Preparing Enduring Powers of Attorney and Enduring Powers of Guardianship
- Advising on trust variations and succession of control arrangements
- Preparing and advising on binding death benefit nominations
- Advising on business and personal succession planning
- Managing estate litigation and dispute resolution matters
The Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 5+ years’ PAE, or demonstrated experience operating at a comparable level
- Experience within wills, estates, succession planning and/or estate disputes
- Strong drafting and technical legal skills
- The ability to confidently manage matters and client relationships
- An interest in developing your expertise within a specialist private client practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability and willingness to mentor junior lawyers and support staff
