Finance Manager

A dynamic and growing resources company are seeking a motivated and industry experienced Finance Manager. The organisation has a proven track record in the sector in Australia and is strongly positioned to continue their success. 

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will manage a small finance team and play a central role in driving financial performance, compliance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and consolidation of budgets, rolling forecasts, and board-level financial reporting
  • Manage all aspects of corporate treasury, including cash flow forecasting and FX/commodity hedging 
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end close, tax effect accounting, group consolidation, and statutory compliance
  • Identify and implement process enhancements, cost-saving initiatives, and measures to manage financial risks across the business
  • Lead, coach and support a team of direct reports overseeing accounting, AP/AR and payroll functions
  • Collaborate with operational teams to evaluate and optimise project performance, and support decision-making
  • Lead external audit preparation and tax compliance activities
About You
  • CA/CPA qualifications
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge including group consolidations and compliance
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing finance teams
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to roll up sleeves and support operational needs
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g. Pronto, SAP, Oracle)
  • Experience in the mining/resources sector (desirable)
