The Role
A new opportunity is available for an Associate in Wills & Estates to join the team at the firm’s Parramatta office. The successful candidate will work across a mix of estate planning, administration, and litigation, including:
- Advising on wills, estate planning strategies, testamentary trusts, and enduring powers of attorney.
- Managing probate and letters of administration applications, and overseeing the full estate administration process.
- Handling contested estates, including Family Provision Act claims and equity-based litigation.
- Providing commercially astute legal advice with a strong client service focus.
- Supervising junior team members and contributing to their professional development.
- Participating in business development activities to build and maintain client relationships.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 3–5 years' post-admission experience in a reputable Wills & Estates practice.
- Solid experience in both estate planning and litigation under the Family Provision Act.
- Excellent communication and client management skills, with a strong focus on empathy, discretion, and responsiveness.
- The ability to manage files autonomously, while also contributing to a supportive team culture.
- Strong drafting and advisory skills, with attention to legal and strategic detail.
- Leadership capability, particularly in mentoring and supervising junior staff.
