Our client provides a vital link in the delivery, instillation and operation of Australian Critical Infrastructure. Reporting to the General manager Projects, the Estimating / Pre-Contracts Administrator will play a pivotal role in supporting the Projects Department by coordinating tender submissions, preparing cost estimates, compiling bid documentation, and assisting with client prequalification processes. This role ensures that all commercial and technical elements are reviewed, compliant, and delivered on time to support project acquisition and operational planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar estimating, bid coordination, or pre-contracts administrative role (preferably in construction, cranes, or heavy industry).
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and PDF editing tools.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent written communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications (basic level acceptable).
- Understanding of construction and/or crane & rigging operations will be highly regarded.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proactive mindset with a team-first approach.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise professionally with clients and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with online procurement or tender portals (e.g. Acconex, Felix, ICN, SAP Ariba) is an advantage.
