Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Cost Accountant
to own product costing, inventory valuation, and financial analysis for the NZ manufacturing site. You’ll partner with both local operations and the Australian finance team, helping to build structure and embed process into a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role with strong cross-functional exposure.
Ngā kawenga | Key Responsibilities
- Manage product costing, inventory valuation, and margin analysis
- Analyse cost variances, raw materials, and operational efficiency
- Support pricing reviews, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with production, procurement, logistics, and finance teams
- Drive cost control, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience
- Solid cost accounting experience (ideally FMCG/food)
- Solid ERP knowledge; Microsoft Dynamics Business Central preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills, including Power BI
- Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable in evolving environments
- Proven business partner across operations and finance teams
- Relevant accounting/finance qualification; MBA or CPA/CMA advantageous
