The Firm
This well-established North Shore firm has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, high-quality legal advice with a personal touch. With a diverse client base ranging from developers and SMEs to individuals and families, the firm is known for its collaborative culture and commitment to client service. The team of 13, including four experienced solicitors, works closely across multiple practice areas to provide a full-service offering to their loyal and growing client base.
Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking a capable and commercially minded lawyer to join their team on a full-time basis.

The Role
This is a varied role offering exposure to a mix of front-end commercial and property work, as well as wills and estates. Reporting directly to senior lawyers and the Practice Group Leader, your responsibilities will include:
Commercial & Property:

  • Advising on and managing transactions involving large-scale residential, industrial, and commercial developments.
  • Acting for stakeholders in the sale and purchase of assets (including businesses, shares, and real property).
  • Drafting and advising on commercial and retail leases, licensing agreements, and strata matters.
  • Representing clients in litigation including building and construction disputes, corporate matters, debt recovery, and property interests.
Wills & Estates
  • Drafting wills, trusts, and estate planning documents.
  • Advising on estate administration, estate disputes, family provision claims, and applications for judicial advice.
  • Preparing settlement documents and supporting clients through all aspects of succession planning.
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
The Candidate
The firm welcomes applications from lawyers with:
  • At least 3 years’ post-admission experience in both Commercial Transactional & EP work.
  • A broad interest in both commercial/property work and wills & estates.
  • Strong drafting and communication skills, with a client-focused and practical approach.
  • A desire to work in a close-knit, supportive team that values collaboration and personal service.
  • The ability to manage files with autonomy while contributing to a team environment.
