- Litigation – Legal Assistant
- CBD Location – 2 days work from home
- Potential for temp to perm
This Melbourne law firm are highly regarded for their flexible and personable approach to client service. They provide commercially minded advice across a range of practice areas out of their CBD offices.
THE ROLE
Starting as a 1 month temp assignment, the successful candidate will work closely with the Partner of a high-performing commercial litigation team and support other lawyers where required.
Your duties will include:
- Preparation of counsel briefs;
- Diary management and control of deadlines;
- Client liaison;
- Online searches including: business name and company searches, etc;
- Filing and service of documents;
- Monthly billing; - Knowledge of Supreme/ County/ VCAT/ Federal Court rulings relating to formatting, filing and service of documents;
- General administrative tasks, such as photocopying and opening/closing files.
To be considered for the role, you will be a professional and motivated individual with practical experience in a Legal Assistant or support role within a law firm;
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant, experience within Litigation is desirable.
- High level of attention to detail with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality.
- Be able to work 5 days per week, work from home available up to 2 days .
