Part-Time Payroll Officer

Our client is a reputable and growing organisation within education. They are looking to expand their finance team by hiring an experienced Accounts Officer to ensure the smooth and accurate management of financial transactions. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a meaningful sector that makes a difference in people's lives.

As an Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This role is key to supporting the finance department and ensuring the company's financial health and integrity.
 
About you:

  • Full function processing of a fortnightly payroll
  • Updating and maintenance of employee files
  • Ensure compliance with award rates, tax, and superannuation obligations
  • Maintain payroll records and respond to employee payroll queries
  • Processing of terminations, Workcover, deductions, and entitlements
  • Award interpretation
  • Assisting with year-end reporting
  • Other ad hoc projects and tasks within the scope of the role.
About you:
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems and current legislation
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Proficient with systems.
