About the Role:
We’re partnering with a large and mission-driven organisation with a diverse and multi-site workforce who are seeking a Senior People & Culture Partner to join their intimate team of four. This full-time, permanent role is central to supporting their workforce through expert ER/IR guidance while contributing to broader P&C initiatives and projects.
The ideal candidate will be confident navigating complex employee matters, demonstrate high emotional intelligence, and enjoy working within a purpose-led organisation.
What You’ll Do:
- Employment Relations Advisory – Provide timely, compassionate, and expert advice on workplace disputes, performance concerns, and award interpretation (across 10 modern awards).
- Issue Resolution – Manage grievances and investigations, guide leaders through difficult conversations, and ensure workplace matters are addressed before escalating.
- Workforce Support – Collaborate with leaders to manage restructures, redundancies, and staff engagement processes.
- Compliance Projects – Play a key role in a legislative compliance project related to remuneration and wage integrity.
- Coaching & Enablement – Empower and coach leaders to handle people matters effectively, including performance management and feedback delivery.
- Policy & Process – Contribute to ongoing policy review and improvement of HR systems and procedures.
- Collaboration – Work closely with payroll, finance, and internal stakeholders to provide guidance on employee matters, award rates, and systems use.
- Team Contribution – Support wider People & Culture initiatives, including L&D, WHS, and professional development opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in employment relations, industrial relations, or as a senior HRBP with an ER focus.
- Solid understanding of the Fair Work Act, modern awards, and workplace legislation.
- Confident in managing investigations, employee disputes, and performance or conduct issues.
- Experience in multi-site or service-based sectors (e.g., education, aged care, NFP, health) highly regarded.
- Strong interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Comfortable working with manual systems and able to navigate change with patience and clarity.
- Ability to support and coach others through challenging people issues in a respectful, empathetic manner.
- Must be supportive of a values-based mission and respectful of the organisation’s broader purpose.
