About The Role
Are you someone who enjoys keeping things organised, working with data, and helping projects run smoothly? We’re looking for a Project Officer to join our team and help coordinate traffic surveys that support important planning and infrastructure work.
In this role, you’ll be the key point of contact when it comes to engaging contractors to carry out traffic surveys. You’ll provide advice to ensure surveys are done safely, in the right places, and in line with requirements. You’ll also work closely with project managers and team members, helping them stay on track by using a variety of software programs and databases to manage information, keep records tidy, and make sure everything is compliant with relevant rules and policies.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating new traffic survey requests and handling the procurement process
- Managing minor contracts and making sure they’re running smoothly
- Advising on survey quality, safety, and compliance
- Keeping traffic data inboxes and folders in good order
- Updating and maintaining spreadsheets and databases
- Entering traffic data into corporate systems
- Generating traffic reports for different audiences
- Occasionally visiting survey sites when needed (with safety gear supplied by contractors)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel, and Teams)
- Good computer and data skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Organised and able to manage your time well
- Willing to learn new systems and tools
- Attention to detail, especially when it comes to data
