A growing Technology business require the assistance of an experimented Assistant Accountant to join the finance team on a 6 month assignment to assist the Finance Manager with month end and year end. You will enjoy a positive and inclusive team environment and enjoy a role with variety. You will be involved in all aspects from management reporting and analysis through to assisting Auditors.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the responsibilities of the role will include,
- End of month processing including journals, accruals and prepayments
- Assisting with year end preparation
- Management reporting and analysis and commentary
- Preparation of balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Preparation of GST, BAS and Payroll tax
- AR and AP management and overview
- Maintain fixed asset register
- Assist with Audit preparation
About You
The successful applicant will have/be,
- Relevant tertiary qualification or qualified by experience
- Experience in a similar role in a medium to large organisation
- Strong ERP systems experience and Excel (D365 highly advantageous)
- Well developed analytical and problem solving skills
- A strong attention to detail and well developed communication skills
