About the role:
The Finance Business Partner is responsible for managing the financial operations of the organisation. This includes overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with financial regulations. The Finance Business Partner will work closely with the Manager Corporate & Member Services to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organisation.  In the short to medium term this will include the review of our existing software applications (MYOB & Employment Hero) to continue to improve operational efficiency of finance and operations. This will encompass functions including but not limited to Cashflow forecast, inventory management, payroll and purchase management. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports.
  • Manage the budgeting process and monitor expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Conduct financial forecasting and risk analysis.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable. 
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes. 
  • Provide financial advice and support to other departments. 
  • Implement and maintain financial policies and procedures. 
  • Contribute to strategic and operational planning.
  • Manage Payroll. 
About you:
The ideal candidate for the Finance Business Partner position will possess a combination of technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities. They will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualities: 
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of financial regulations, standards, and software tools. 
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey financial information to various stakeholders. 
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify and resolve financial issues efficiently. 
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in preparing and reviewing financial documents to ensure accuracy. 
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and external partners. 
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing financial environments and regulations. 
  • Integrity: High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial operations. 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. 
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred. 
  • Experience in financial management. 
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools desirable (MYOB, Xero, Fathom, Employment Hero, Salesforce, Excel).
