Sydney | Work Type:
Full-Time | Hybrid & Flexible Work
Join a leading creative design firm that’s shaping cities, communities, and the future of built environments through innovation, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making. We’re seeking a Business Intelligence Developer
who thrives at the intersection of design, data, and development.
If you’re ready to elevate your career beyond dashboards and step into full-stack development, this is your opportunity to make an impact in a dynamic and creative environment.
The Opportunity
You’ll start by owning the design and development of powerful, visually engaging Power BI dashboards, transforming complex data into actionable insights across departments including Finance, Operations, and Marketing.
But this role goes beyond reporting — it’s designed as a growth pathway into broader development, with opportunities to work on internal tools using React, Node.js, and C#, helping shape how data supports strategic and creative outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop intuitive and impactful Power BI dashboards that help teams track performance, identify trends, and support business strategy.
- Build end-to-end BI solutions —from data modelling to visualisation and stakeholder reporting.
- Work with Power Query, DAX, and SQL to build dynamic data sets and enable detailed forecasting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand requirements and deliver smart, tailored visualisations.
- Automate and streamline data processes, integrating modern enhancements (including AI features).
- Support and enhance internal tools through front-end (React/Node) and desktop (C#) development.
- Apply a strong sense of design and usability to every interface—whether it’s a dashboard or web-based tool.
- Proactively suggest ideas to improve how data is managed, visualised, and shared.
Essential:
- Proficiency in Power BI: DAX, data modelling, and dashboard design
- A passion for turning data into compelling stories and insights
- Exposure to JavaScript/TypeScript, React, or Node.js
- Willingness to work with C#-based desktop tools
- Basic knowledge of SQL, APIs, or cloud platforms (e.g. Azure)
- Familiarity with version control(Git) and design systems or UI/UX principles
- Flexible hybrid working arrangements
- 16 weeks fully paid parental leave for primary carers (4 weeks for secondary)
- $5,000 employee referral bonuses
- Other great benefits
