Senior Accounts Officer

Are you an experienced accounts all-rounder with a background in freight forwarding? Join a supportive finance team and take ownership of key administration and financial processes in a dynamic logistics environment.
About the Role
This position will see you work closely with a well-established finance team, providing end-to-end support across freight forwarding accounts and general administration. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions while supporting daily operations
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry, including accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Invoice clients and distribute account statements
- Complete creditor reconciliations (local and international)
- Conduct bank reconciliations
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including debtors, creditors, margin analysis, and profit and loss
- Assist with general office and warehouse administration tasks
- Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner
- Proficiency in CargoWise is highly regarded
- Highly organised and methodical in approach
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proactive with strong problem-solving skills
- Quick to learn and capable of adapting to new systems and processes
- Previous experience within a freight forwarding environment
