As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will utilise your accounting background and expertise to ensure financial compliance and drive the success of the business. As part of a high performing team, the role is crucial to ensuring compliance from both a finance and tax perspective.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller and working in a team of five, the responsibilities of the role will include,
- Month end year-end statutory reporting
- Preparation of Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS
- Manage Audit process and acting as a primary contact for external auditors
- Month end processing and managing fixed assets
- Drafting technical accounting papers
- Identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting process and analysis
The successful applicant will have/be,
- CA or CPA qualified with strong understanding of Australian Accounting standards
- Proven experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements and managing Audit
- Advanced Excel and strong ERP systems exposure
- Experience working with an ASX listed business, highly desirable
- Well developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
