WHS and Wellbeing Advisor

People2people are working with a NFP organisation who specialise in helping people with the management of their physical and mental health. With a large foothold in NSW and ACT, the organisation is looking to add a WHS and Wellness Advisor to their team.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Executive Manager, People and Culture the responsibilities include but are not limited to –

• Work Health and Safety (WHS) Compliance and Risk Management
• Support the development and review of WHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
• Develop and implement wellbeing programs
• Collaborate with People & Culture, and leaders to enhance workplace mental health awareness, supports and resilience.
• Develop and coordinate the delivery of WHS and wellbeing training to employees, including induction programs and ongoing education.
• Work closely with People and Culture and managers to support injured workers through early intervention and return-to-work programs.

• Relevant qualifications in Work Health and Safety or a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of NSW and ACT WHS legislation and standards, risk management principles, and wellbeing best practices.
• Experience in a similar position ideally within health, community services, mental health and multi-site and/ or large organisations.
• Return-to-Work Coordinator certification or relevant experience and experience with injury management and workers compensation.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement workplace wellbeing initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• First Aid and Mental Health First Aid Certificate (or similar).
