I’m working with a high-quality producer in the seafoodsector, known for its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and delivering premium New Zealand food products to both domestic and global markets. With a small, collaborative team and growing production capability, they’re now looking for an experienced sales professional to lead market expansion efforts both here and offshore.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
This is your chance to shape and drive growth across both domestic and export markets. You’ll be the commercial face of the business, identifying new opportunities, forging strong customer relationships, and coordinating sales activity with harvest and stock availability.
You’ll work closely with operations (especially the Wetstore Manager) to ensure alignment between customer demand and what’s coming through the door.

Operations are based in Marlborough, but this remote role is open to candidates anywhere in Aotearoa — what matters most is your energy, networks, and commercial instincts.

Ngā kawenga | What You’ll Be Doing

  • Driving growth across wholesale, retail, foodservice, and export markets
  • Building and managing customer pipelines, from cold calls to conversion
  • Working cross-functionally with ops and production teams on supply planning
  • Identifying new offshore opportunities and building export relationships
  • Managing pricing, account plans, and reporting
Mōhou ake | About You
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
  • Proven B2B sales experience (ideally seafood, fresh food or FMCG)
  • International market experience or export exposure
  • A confident, proactive approach to business development and cold calling
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong commercial instincts and a hands-on mindset
  • Confidence working autonomously, with flexibility across time zones
