Senior Policy Analyst - Learning Support

Ko wai mātou | The Organisation
Our client is one of the central government agencies in the social policy sector. This specific policy team focuses on equity for people who too often face barriers — including disabled and neurodivergent people, and those at risk of disengaging from the system.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

This is your chance to shape system-wide reforms that make the sector fairer and more inclusive. As Senior Policy Analyst, you’ll:

  • Design system-wide approaches to re-engage people at risk of disengaging, and to support disabled and neurodivergent people, including major policy reform work.
  • Provide strategic budget and investment advice to direct resources where they matter most.
  • Help define the future role of this support in delivering equitable outcomes across Aotearoa.
Every project has real impact — influencing how the system supports vulnerable people and ensuring policies translate into change on the ground.

Mōu | About you

You’re a policy professional who thrives on complexity and cares about equity. With at least 2–3 years’ Senior Analyst/Advisor-level policy experience, you can balance sharp analysis with empathy for those affected by policy decisions. Experience in funding or investment policy would be an advantage, but what matters most is your capacity for systems thinking and ability to produce clear, actionable advice that drives better outcomes.
