Accounts Assistant

This global learning program has been established for over 50 years and now supports millions of students across dozens of countries, including tens of thousands locally. Its individualised programs help children of all ages build confidence, discipline, and strong study skills to become independent learners. Offering a collaborative culture and generous flexibility (three days from home, two days in the office), this role is based in Chatswood where you’ll join a finance team of five. Day to day, you will be:
 
Accounts Receivable

  • Enter daily receipts
  • Process subsidies
  • Prepare and issue adjustment invoices and credit notes from Field Support
  • Monitor outstanding balances and issue reminders to customers
  • Track and follow up on outstanding provisional license fees
  • Integrate and process royalty and enrolment fee payments
  • Transfer payments received in suspense accounts to the appropriate ledgers
  • Generate and analyse the customer aging report for follow-up and collections
  • Email monthly statements and invoices to Instructors
Accounts Support
  • Assist in processing supplier invoices and payments as required
  • Support the Accounts Payable function with ad hoc tasks
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Complete and submit quarterly surveys for New Zealand (NZ)
  • Process New Zealand withholding tax
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts regularly to ensure accuracy
We’re looking for someone eager to grow with the business and build on their finance experience. Ideally, you’ll bring:
  • At least 6 months’ accounting experience, with a focus on accounts receivable
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and accounting software
  • Great communication skills and a customer-focused approach
