People2people are proud to partner with a renowned global financial services organisation to recruit a motivated Payroll Officer to join their high performing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll of multiple entities, acting as a key point of contact for any payroll queries and ensuring all needs are met in a timely and professional manner. You will also serve as a point of reference for team members and support the Operations Lead with the coordination of daily processing requirements.
What you'll be doing
- Lead payroll system setup for new clients, including employee onboarding in HR3.
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing: PAYG, superannuation, terminations, and funding requests.
- Prepare, calculate, lodge and process IAS, payroll tax and workers compensation.
- Coordinate and obtain payroll approvals; process EFT/BPAY payment runs and follow up authorisations.
- Maintain accurate time entry, complete work within budget, and report out-of-scope tasks.
- Ensure timely billing for payroll services and maintain relevant databases and tracking tools.
- Liaise with internal teams and offices to support service delivery and process improvement.
About you
- Strong fundamental end-to-end payroll background, preferably within the shared services industry
- Confident communication and ability to negotiate
- Experience handling high volume payroll (up to 500 employees)
- Ability to manage complex queries
- Experience with Datacom, Horizon & HR3 is a nice to have however not a requirement
- Exposure to mixed employment types
