Sourcing & Procurement Assistant - NSW Government

  • 12-month contract, start ASAP, based in Ultimo
  • Procurement & contract management, stakeholder support & advice
  • $100,000 - $110,000 plus super
This business is evolving rapidly, expanding its reach, and driving a major transformation program. You will work closely with the Finance team and report to the Sourcing & Procurement Manager, providing critical support in procurement and contract administration across large-scale projects. Based close to public transport in Ultimo, this 12-month contract starts within two weeks, offering the stability and certainty you’re looking for in today’s market.

Day to day, some of your duties will be:
  • Coordinate procurement processes for major maintenance and capital works projects, ensuring compliance with NSW public sector standards.
  • Manage the end-to-end tender process, including advertising, dispatching e-tenders, scheduling, and advising unsuccessful tenderers.
  • Provide advice and guidance to project managers and staff on procurement, contracts, legislative requirements, and agency policies.
  • Execute contracts, identify and resolve contract-related issues with stakeholders, and contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement policies. 
  • Maintain contract management systems, supplier lists, and project documentation, including reports and insurance records.
  • Ensure all procurement processes meet probity, legislative, and compliance standards.
To successfully secure this role, you will have extensive experience in contract administration and procurement, with a strong understanding of contract law principles, ideally within the NSW Government.
