A leading global food production and distribution company is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to lead the people function at its processing facility, located in the Adelaide Hills. With operations spanning North America, Asia, and Europe, this organisation is committed to delivering high-quality products through sustainable practices and a values-driven culture.

The Role

Reporting to the National HR Lead, this site-based leadership role offers the chance to shape the employee experience and drive strategic HR initiatives. You’ll lead a small team and collaborate closely with operational leaders to foster a high-performance culture and support continuous improvement.
This is more than a compliance focused HR role, it’s an opportunity to influence culture, guide change, and build capability across the workforce.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor small HR team, ensuring alignment with broader organisational goals
  • Partner with site leadership to embed a culture of accountability, engagement, and performance
  • Provide strategic support on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning
  • Drive adoption of HR systems and streamline processes for efficiency and transparency
  • Oversee policy development and ensure compliance with employment legislation and enterprise agreements
  • Champion change initiatives and support leaders through transformation efforts
 
What You’ll Bring
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in a senior HR role, ideally within manufacturing, logistics, or food production
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial relations frameworks and enterprise agreement interpretation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change and foster continuous improvement
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Sound judgement, time management, and decision-making capability
