Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
This is a pivotal leadership role with full responsibility for commercial performance across New Zealand. Reporting to the General Manager – New Zealand, you’ll lead a national team of eight across Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, driving sales growth while strengthening customer and channel relationships. The focus is on both strategy and execution: you’ll set direction, coach performance, and represent the brand with energy and credibility.
This role is central to the company’s next stage of growth, so we’re looking for a leader who combines commercial and sales discipline with empathy, communication and emotional intelligence. You’ll need to be confident interpreting sales data and metrics, comfortable with difficult conversations when needed, and equally capable of connecting with team members and customers to build long-term loyalty.
Regular travel across Aotearoa is expected, alongside collaboration with the Australian business.
Ngā kawenga | What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing national sales team
- Own sales strategy, pipeline, forecasting and reporting across channels
- Deepen relationships with designers, retailers and channel partners
- Support execution of product launches, events and customer engagement
- Collaborate closely with internal teams across marketing, ops and design
- Balance results-focus with relationship-led leadership
We’re looking for a well-rounded sales leader who can interpret data, drive performance, and bring people with them. You’ll have a strong grasp of commercial levers and accountability, while building trust with team members and clients alike.
You’ll bring:
- Proven success leading national or multi-regional sales teams in New Zealand
- A commercial mindset – strong with numbers, KPIs, sales tools and reporting
- Confidence having performance conversations and coaching for impact
- The ability to connect and build rapport with a range of people
- A balance of strategic thinking and operational follow-through
- Experience in design-led, retail or wholesale environments is a bonus
- Comfort with regular travel and representing the brand externally
- Circa $150,000 base salary
